Inspired by 30before30project, I decided to make my own and named it Project 35. I chose the number five and thirty for one reason - I have 6 years left before I reach 30 and I don't think 6 years is enough to accommodate all the whims, follies, and dreams. Hence, I add 5 years more to 30. And I hope to succeed. Carpe Diem!
Countdown begins (in no particular order)
- Obtain a master's degree
- Become a Foreign Service Officer
- Learn to drive
- Learn 2 or 3 Foreign Languages - I want to learn to speak and write Spanish, Japanese, Arabic or French.
- Make a blog or an e-diary, as I prefer to call it.
- Learn how to swim. Despite living in a country surrounded by waters, I am ashamed to admit that I don't know how to swim.
- Do YOGA or PILATES - I have to take care of my body because I am not growing younger. Who grows young anyway? Raise your hand!
- Run a marathon
- Huwag maging dayuhan sa sariling bayan" - the infamous tagline of Ms. Susan Calo-Medina's Travel Show "Travel Time". If you can read the italicized phrase then you're lucky because I just gave a hint of my nationality. The phrase sums up my fourth dream - to travel around my country.
- Learn the Japanese Art of Archery or Kyudo. <Kyaaah!!!>
- Walk on a pathway surrounded by Cherry Blossoms, which means I have to visit Japan.
- Climb Mt. Pulag or Sagada mountain
- Learn Horseback riding
- Be a Speedreader
- Own a DSLR and learn the art of Photography
- Attend Writing Workshops
- Learn to Cook
- Read at least 100 classical novels (see reviews section)
- Bungee Jump
- Take Pole Dancing lessons
- Visit members of ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) namely Indonesia,Malaysia,Philippines,Singapore,Thailand,Cambodia,Vietnam,Laos,Brunei, and Burma. This region has rich cultural heritage that I ought to explore.
- Own a piece of land, I mean, a hacienda-type property.
- Build a Food-related Business
- Visit Europe with my Nanay
- Visit Pride and Prejudice 2005 filming locations especially the Chatsworth House and Temple of Apollo
- Earn a Doctorate Degree
- Attend a conference or seminar as a SPEAKER
- Attend a classical concert in Europe
- Go Vegetarian! On my own definition, it means more vegetables, less meat.
- Explore the Mayan Ruins and Latin America
- Write a Novel
- Win a Literary Award for Novel
- Find my own Mr. Darcy <gyabooo!>
- Volunteer - Time to Give Back
- Forgive - In every journey, there is always someone who lives to make your life so miserable. Like they said, "What are bitches for? But to bitch around fellow bitches." And keep in mind that deeds are forgiven but not forgotten.
